Falmouth Varsity Baseball Defeats Bonny Eagle In Low-Scoring Affair

Both teams were strong on the pitcher's mound Thursday, but Falmouth Varsity Baseballdefeated Bonny Eagle 3-1. Bennett Smith allowed just five hits to Bonny Eagle.
Bonny Eagle got things started in the first inning. Faulher's sac fly scored one run for Bonny Eagle.
Falmouth Varsity Baseball knotted the game up at one in the bottom of the second inning. Josh Lefevre drove in one when he singled.
Falmouth Varsity Baseball pulled away for good with two runs in the third inning. In the third Ike Kiely doubled on a 1-0 count, scoring one run and Garrett Tracy grounded out, scoring one run.
Smith was the winning pitcher for Falmouth Varsity Baseball. He went seven innings, allowing one run on five hits, striking out five and walking zero.
Bean took the loss for Bonny Eagle. He surrendered three runs on seven hits over six innings, striking out three and walking one.
Kiely went 2-for-3 at the plate to lead Falmouth Varsity Baseball in hits.
Phinney led Bonny Eagle with two hits in two at bats.
