Kiely's Walk-Off Seals The Deal In Falmouth Varsity Baseball Victory Over Gorham

Falmouth Varsity Baseball took their game in dramatic walk-off fashion, thanks to a walk-off single at the end of the game to topple Gorham. The game was tied at one with Falmouth Varsity Baseball batting in the bottom of the twelfth when Ike Kiely singled on a 1-2 count, scoring one run.

The pitching was strong on both sides. Falmouth Varsity Baseball pitchers struck out 11, while Gorham pitchers sat down 12.Gorham fired up the offense in the second inning, when Sean Boykin doubled on the first pitch of the at bat, scoring one run.

Falmouth Varsity Baseball evened things up at one in the bottom of the fifth inning. Brady Coyne grounded out, scoring one run.

Garrett Tracy pitched Falmouth Varsity Baseball to victory. He went eight and a third innings, allowing one run on three hits and striking out nine.

 Bennett Smith threw three and two-thirds innings in relief out of the bullpen.

Aaron Goschke took the loss for Gorham. He surrendered one run on three hits over four and two-thirds innings, striking out eight.Kyle Scofield started the game for Gorham. He surrendered one run on six hits over seven innings, striking out four and walking zero

Falmouth Varsity Baseball saw the ball well today, racking up ten hits in the game. Kiely, Josh Lefevre, and Tracy all managed multiple hits for Falmouth Varsity Baseball. Kiely went 3-for-6 at the plate to lead Falmouth Varsity Baseball in hits.

Lefevre led Falmouth Varsity Baseball with two stolen bases, as they ran wild on the base paths with six stolen bases. Falmouth Varsity Baseball didn't commit a single error in the field. Kiely had 12 chances in the field, the most on the team.

Jake Polchias led Gorham with two hits in five at bats.
