Falmouth Takes Lead in Seventh Inning to Defeat Bonny Eagle

​Falmouth took the lead late and defeated Bonny Eagle 11-8 on Tuesday. The game was tied at eight with Falmouth batting in the top of the seventh when Garrett Aube singled on a 2-1 count, scoring one run.

Bonny Eagle scored six runs in the second inning, but the Yachtsmen still managed to pull out the victory. The offensive firepower by Bonny Eagle was led by Maturo, Sirois, Whyte, Pike, and Phinney, who each had RBIs in the inning.

Bonny Eagle opened up an early lead in the second inning when Phinney drew a walk, scoring one run.

In the bottom of the fifth inning, Bonny Eagle tied things up at eight. Bonny Eagle scored one run when Whyte doubled.

Josh Lefevre got the win for Falmouth. He went two-thirds of an inning, allowing zero runs on one hit and walking zero. Jack Kidder and Aube entered the game out of the bullpen and helped to close out the game in relief. Aube recorded the last three outs to earn the save for Falmouth.

​Bonny Eagle totaled eight hits in the game. Faucher and Maturo all had multiple hits for Bonny Eagle.
