by Falmouth Baseball on June 14th, 2016

The Falmouth Yachtsmen took the last of four lead changes in a back-and-forth affair against So. Portland, securing a 4-2 victory on Tuesday. Falmouth (19-0) will face defending state champion Bangor on Saturday afternoon at St. Joseph’s for the state title.

Chris Camelio went a perfect 3-3 at the dish for Yachtsmen. He singled in the second, third, and sixth innings.

Griffin Kelley (7-2) allowed six hits and only one earned run for South Portland.

The Yachtsmen jumped out to an early 1-0 lead in the bottom of the first. Yachtsmen's threat began with a double by Connor Aube. A single by Tyler Gee then moved Aube from second to third. The game's last lead went to Yachtsmen thanks to a third inning rally that saw three runs cross the plate on an error and two singles.
