Fryeburg Academy falls 16-6 at the hands of Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity

Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity beat Fryeburg Academy on Monday 16-6 at Fryeburg Academy in seven innings.

Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity scored seven runs in the seventh on Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity scored in the seventh on a hit by pitch, a wild pitch, an RBI single by Connor Aube, a two-run single by Robbie Armitage, and a two-run single by Caleb Lydick.

The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.

Armitage racked up five RBIs on three hits for Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity.

Ryan Mucci got it done on the mound on the way to a win. He allowed four runs over 3 2/3 innings. He struck out three, walked two and surrendered five hits.
#01 was charged with the loss. He allowed nine runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked four and struck out one.

Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity closer Max Fortier put away the final 10 outs to record the save.
The top of the second saw Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity take an early lead, 3-0. Lydick singled to ignite Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity's offense. An error then moved Lydick from first to second. More runs came home for Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity when Gee and Horgan scored on a two-run error.

It didn't take long for Fryeburg Academy to respond as it scored four runs of its own in the second. Fryeburg Academy scored on a three-run triple by #10and an RBI single by #11.
Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity went up for good in the fourth, scoring three runs on an error and a two-run triple by Armitage.

After pushing across two runs in the bottom of the fifth, Fryeburg Academy faced just a 7-6 deficit. A passed ball and gave Fryeburg Academy life. Finally, Fortier induced an inning-ending ground out from #7.

Falmouth Yachtsmen Varsity built upon its lead with two runs in the sixth. Armitage started the inning with a triple, scoring Connor Aube.
